Day 2 – After what will probably have been a late night, the hotel have arranged a leisurely ‘brunch’. Afterwards we must say farewell to our hosts, and commence our return journey, stopping at the McArthur Glen Cheshire Oaks Shopping Outlet. This unique shopping experience brings all your favourite labels together under one roof. With such a passion for fashion, you’d expect nothing less than hundreds of top designer brands at discount prices. But it doesn’t stop there. You’ll also find everything from lighting to lingerie, books to bed linen, candles to coffee mugs and music to mobile phones. It’s a treasure trail of best buys, just waiting to be discovered ……… During the afternoon we rejoin the coach and commence the journey back to your hotel in time to freshen up before dinner followed by entertainment. Day 3 – After a leisurely breakfast we travel to Chester, where you’ll discover that it is an ideal place for sightseeing. The city’s galleried streets, known as The Rows, date from the Middle Ages and are filled with interesting shops, cafes and restaurants. The shops open on to balustraded walkways, reached only by steps from the road. The city has fine timbered inns, and a number of the half-timbered Tudor houses have rich carvings cut deep into age-blackened wood. The red sandstone 14th century cathedral is always well worth a visit. During the afternoon we return to home. |
